Gold Movie Box Office Collection Day 1: Akshay Kumar starrer Gold released on this Wednesday along with Satyamev Jayate. Both the movies open decently at the box office. Gold got the National holiday advantages and opens with 55% morning show occupancy. Which is better than the 2nd highest opening of year Race 3 – 50% morning show occupancy and similar to the highest opening of 2018 Sanju – 55% morning show occupancy.

Considering the 1st-day occupancy Gold is all set to become Akshay Kumar’s Highest opener at Indian box office. Not only highest opening day for Akshay Kumar but the 1st 20 crores opening for the star. The movie registered a 13 crs advance booking till Thursday night.
Although Gold registered a solid occupancy on its opening day But falls marginally short from Top 2 Highest opening day box-office collection. The reason behind its low box-office collection is its screen count. Due to clash with Satyamev Jayate Khiladi Kumar’s movie got a release on 2750 screens only, where other 2 biggies of the year Race 3 & Sanju got 4300,4200 respectively.
On the other hand, Satyamev Jayate also got a bumper collection considering its screen count. Also its turn out to be the biggest opening day for John Abraham starrer movies.
